Student Research Opportunities

I have a new graduate student position to model carbon and nitrogen dynamics at the sagebrush-conifer ecotone in southern Wyoming. The conifers are either dead or are dying as a result of the mountain pine beetle epidemic that is sweeping the West and the climate is warming. This represents an unprecidented opportunity to ask and answer questions about the dynamics and location of the lower tree line in this region.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in the interdisciplinary graduate program in ecology. Please email a statement of interest, CV, GPA and GRE scores.

Graduate Assistantships are available to study plant community ecology and/or ecohydrology. Successful candidates will be ambitious and energetic students interested in plant community ecology, ecohydrology or both. Students may choose between several degree programs in Ecology or Botany.

The University of Wyoming is an EEO/AA Employer.
